It’s official, WhatsApp already has a dark mode on iPhone and Android phones, after several months of testing in the preliminary versions of its chat application.
For Android, you must go to Settings> Chats> Theme and then choose between the light, dark or default system theme. In the case of the iPhone, you can use the dark mode of WhatsApp by enabling it in the system configuration. “In this way, we want to minimize eye strain by using the color scheme offered by smartphones with iOS 13 and Android 10,” the developers said.
On iPhone, the version that offers the dark mode is 2.20.30 in the final version. On the other hand, this view will be available in the latest WhatsApp update in Play Store for Android 10. It will also be available for those smartphones that use other editions of Google’s operating system, such as Android 9 or previous versions.
